Consultation

If you are unsure about what to expect from having counselling, I can offer a consultation session of 45 minutes. In this time you can have the opportunity of discussing why you want counselling, how many sessions you may require and any other questions or concerns you may have. I will then be able to explain to you what the process of counselling is about, the BACP guidelines I have to follow, discuss the fee and the contract. By having a consultation it could help you decide whether you want to go ahead and follow through the process of counselling.

Individual Counselling
Counselling can take as long or as short as your process dictates. It is lead by you and my job is to respond, offer insights and the 6 conditions of worth (see link to Carl Rogers). By me facilitating in your process, it will help with the therapeutic change that will be taking place with your process. Within the counselling sessions an organic review of your process will be taking form. This will be helping you decide how many more sessions you may need.
