Sue Wardell Person Centred Counsellor

About me.

I am a qualified Counsellor and a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy. I trained for my diploma at the Person-Centred  Counselling services at Old Trafford, Manchester and Qualified in 2003.

Since qualifying I have worked in a range of mental health settings, offering emotional support on a telephone helpline, one to one individual counselling and group work. This has mainly been to people who experience mild to severe, complex and enduring mental health problems.

I have provided private, paid and unpaid Counselling  to clients who use the Mental health services at Stockport Mind, to clients from the lesbian and gay community who use the services at the Lesbian and gay  foundation in Manchester and Private clients who I have seen in my own home.

My main experience lies within gaining insights, understandings, knowledge from working with my clients and having regular training, self development that I need to   further my Counselling career.

As a member of the BACP I am obliged to work within their codes of ethics and as part of my ongoing  personal and  professional development I receive  regular Supervision, where I can discuss in confidence my counselling practise.

This is necessary for me to  work effectively as a Counsellor, so I can offer my clients the best service possible.
